Early accessPrograms FAQ
Which format should I choose?
It depends on how much time you have in Lyon. 2 Hours is one focused activity — a market walk or a café session — and the easiest way to try immersion. Afternoon gives you a full activity from start to finish, like shopping for ingredients and cooking them. Full Day is a proper excursion, morning to evening. One Week is the real thing: you live in French, all day, every day. Every format is one-to-one and entirely in French — the shorter ones simply give you less of it.

What's included in the shorter formats?
What's included?
The activity itself, everything you eat or drink as part of it, and one-to-one immersive teaching throughout — see each format's card for the exact list. Accommodation and three meals a day are part of the One Week format only; for a 2-hour, afternoon or full-day session you organise your own stay and we simply meet in the city.

Can I book several short sessions instead of one week?
Can I book several sessions?
Yes, and plenty of people do — a few afternoons spread across a stay, or a regular session if you already live in Lyon. Tell me the dates you have and we'll build something around them. If you want to extend a booked session into a longer one, that's usually possible too, subject to availability.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. Every format can take one guest — a partner, a friend, a colleague — at the guest rate shown on each card. Beyond two people it stops being immersion and starts being a class, so two is the limit.
Do I need to stay in Lyon?
Only for the week, where you stay in Théodore's home — that's what makes the immersion continuous. For the shorter formats you just need to be in the city that day. They work well if you're passing through, here on business, or already living in Lyon.
No — you just need to be in the city that day. The sessions work well if you're passing through, here on business, or already living in Lyon.
What level of French do I need?
Any level. Every session adapts entirely to where you are — complete beginner to advanced. The track is about what you do, not where you start.
What's the difference between the tracks in terms of language learning?
None, really — all three produce the same immersive result. The track changes the vocabulary you acquire and the contexts you practice in. Taste gives you gastronomy and social French. Think gives you debate and cultural French. Move gives you practical and spontaneous French under physical pressure (which, it turns out, works well).
Can I combine tracks?
Yes. Across short sessions it's easy — a Taste afternoon one day, a Move day the next. Across two weeks, the most common combination is Taste + Think: you eat well and argue better by the end. Move + Taste also works if you want to earn your Michelin dinner.

Can I change my track once we've started?
For a week, tell me before day two and we'll adjust. For a short session, just tell me when we meet — at that length the track is mostly a starting point, and we can follow whatever you're actually curious about.

Is the schedule fixed?
It's a guide, not a contract. The sample days and weeks on this page show the shape of a typical session, not a timetable you're held to. If Tuesday's vineyard trip becomes Wednesday because the weather is better, that's fine — immersion is flexible by design.
